There are also special segments that will showcase a number of speakers from around the world. They have been specially invited to the Borneo International Beads Conference to talk about beads and their respective countries cultural beads.
Its mission is to promote and market Sarawak handicrafts in an economically viable way, with international-standard quality control.
It is at this event where you can find most of the traditional Sarawakian handicraft and beads for sale and display.
With many promotions being done locally, people are seeing the importance of the traditional handicraft which is slowly fading away due to modernization and technology.

One of the local craft and bead shops in Kuala Lumpur has also done a review of the Borneo International Beads Conference, and they also deal with some of the Sarawakian beads.
Personally, my travels have taken me to many remote places around Sarawak, and seeing some of the beads here brought back memories of my visits to these beautiful places.
For anyone who is interested to learn more about this event and conference, just look out for the next Borneo International Beads Conference which is being held in 2019.
