Japan Travel Fair Malaysia
The second Japan Travel Fair Malaysia occurred in One Utama Shopping Mall from November 9 to November 13, 2016. Its mission was to provide general consumers with information about Japan’s tourism, Japanese Culture, and the many beautiful destinations all over Japan.
This is also the second time the Japan Travel Fair Malaysia has taken place in just one year. The first fair was held in February at the same venue and was well-received by Malaysian consumers.

The second fair at the end of this year promotes Japan’s Winter and Springtime, which are said to be two of the most beautiful and best times to visit Japan, namely the snowy areas and the Cherry Blossom or Sakura Season in Spring.
At the five-day travel fair, JNTO will give a free gift to anyone buying Japan travel packages, tours, or airline tickets. In addition, there will be a lucky draw for the mentioned purchases, where you can win return airline tickets to Japan, a Canon Digital Camera, and Japanese souvenirs.

The Japanese travel fair (日本の旅行フェア) is located on the High Street on the first floor of the One Utama Shopping Mall. There are 21 booths offering information and sales on Japanese destinations.
Of the 21 booths, 11 are occupied by tour companies specialising in selling Japanese travel packages to multiple prefectures, and the other 10 are occupied by various Japanese tourism prefectures.
Visitors can walk in, as it is free, and they can obtain information on multiple places around Japan. Before the recent Matta Fair 2016, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) took added steps to promote Japan aggressively, as it is one of the top destinations for Malaysian tourists heading outbound.
In 2015, the number of Malaysians who visited Japan surpassed 300,000, and from January to September 2016, the number had already reached around 250,000 visitors from Malaysia.
A growing number of Muslim visitors to Japan has also contributed to these numbers as Japan has seriously taken into consideration Muslim Travel around Japan. Many restaurants now offer a special Halal menu, and Muslim Prayer Rooms (Surau) are available in almost all prefectures and some shopping malls and airports.
