One of the most popular attractions in Floria is the Garden Bazaar and Horticultural Market, where you can find just about everything a gardener needs, from flowering plants to trees, garden furniture, garden equipment, biotech products, and landscaping services.
The most popular booths are always the orchid sellers’ booths, where you can find a wide variety of local hybrid orchids, including some really rare Malaysian orchids, for sale.
More than 300 daily activities are held throughout the nine-day Floria Putrajaya, which includes floral arrangement demonstrations, gardening workshops, entertainment, a photography competition, a watercolour arts competition, and arts and crafts.
Overall, this is great family fun and also suitable for visitors to Malaysia.
Floria 2014 with some unique garden creations |
This beautiful and unique garden, implemented as the first friendship garden in Putrajaya, was developed in collaboration with the Malaysia-China Friendship Association.
Floria Flavours, which is expected to be a big hit again this year, will offer authentic local Malaysian cuisine from various states around the country under one roof. Here, you can explore the many favourite dishes from states like Penang, Perak, Malacca, Johor, and Terengganu.
The Floria Arts & Crafts attraction is a must-see and must-visit spot. This section is coordinated by Perbadanan Kraftangan Selangor, an exhibition and more than 90 retail lots that will offer arts and crafts inspired by plants, landscapes, and nature.
Conclusion
Anyone visiting this event should know that the place can quickly get extremely crowded on weekends. The best time to come and visit is, of course, when they open in the mornings. Parking will be available throughout the area, and there will also be lots of food and drink being sold here.
Buses are available, but you need to check with the bus services. Putrajaya has its own bus service, Nadi Putrajaya.
Taxis are hard to find here, so this option is not recommended. Overall, this event is excellent for anyone who loves flowers, plants, and gardens. It is also Malaysia’s largest horticulture, garden, and flower event, the Royal Floria Putrajaya, which takes place once a year.
