This year’s Royal Floria Putrajaya will also apply the latest European technology to excite all five senses—sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch.
Special sections, called Mystical Forest, Chrysanthemum Garden, Mermaid’s World, and Candy Courtyard, will offer a virtual experience that will excite visitors’ all five senses.
Each year, a Royal Garden is selected, and for Royal Floria Putrajaya 2016, the state of Johor was chosen as the official royal garden. The flower and garden exhibition in Putrajaya is also expected to attract one million visitors, compared to 750,000 last year.
For flowers, there will be over 400,000 species of flowers and plants that will be displayed at the 11.7-hectare exhibition space for this year’s flower and garden exhibition.

How to go to Putrajaya
The best way is to self-drive here; otherwise, it is recommended that you take the KLIA Transit Train from KL Sentral. You need to take the Nadi Putra bus to Precinct 4 from Putrajaya or take a taxi there.
The journey to Putrajaya from KL city takes 30 to 45 minutes and can be up to 60 minutes one-way during peak hours.
- Car – If you are self-driving or renting a car, use Waze or Google Maps to guide you there, as it can be confusing once you get there.
- Train – KLIA Transit from KL Sentral, get off at Putrajaya station, and then take the local Nadi Putra Bus.
- Taxi – From KL Sentral, it is around RM45-50 one way to Putrajaya. Call a taxi service or use Uber or GrabCar to get back from Putrajaya. If you take a regular taxi, I suggest you tell the taxi man that you may need a return journey or his contact number.
- Bus – Rapid KL bus from KL Sentral to Putrajaya, around RM5 one way. Bus services usually end around 10 to 11 pm.
- Shuttle Bus – Some hotels in Kuala Lumpur offer a paid shuttle service to and from, but you need to check with your hotel. Shangri-la Hotel in KL is one of them.

A tip is to come here in the mornings when the event starts or late at about 4.00 pm. You can also follow Malaysia Asia on Instagram for updates on the event. Please note that this is also during the school holidays, so it will get really crowded on the weekends.
