Hot Spring Spas in Krabi

On a recent visit to Thailand Tourism, I was fortunate to experience a complete Hot Spring Spa and Wellness Treatments.

The van then turned off the main road, and we must have travelled in for another five minutes passing nothing but shrubs and what looked like a secondary jungle. 

Here, the manager gives us a rundown of the entire process from start to finish. After our welcome drinks, we were ushered by the staff to our changing huts about 50 meters away.

Upon exiting the hut, the staff led us down a pathway through the beautifully landscaped grounds. I noticed some traditional outdoor gazebos about 15 meters apart along the way.

They were man-made and creatively done too. I noticed multiple pools hidden from the public eye in that vast area.

The spring waters were an average temperature of 40-45 degrees Celsius, which was also odourless, rich in minerals and with a P.H. value of 6.9.

When the scrub was done, a quick outdoor shower was taken nearby, and then we were back into the pool for a repeat of the first session.

During this basic experience, I noticed another staff member prepping the medium pool with natural and pandanus-shaped flowers for the final process.

Here, we were invited to feast on these exotic fruits: Durians, Rambutans, Longkongs, Watermelons and Mangosteens. Being local, my choice was evident as I headed straight for the Durians.

Not helping was the fact that most of us stuffed our faces with the Durians earlier, but that did not stop the host from bringing more of the thorny fruits for dessert.

Strangely, I always thought of Krabi as an Island or  Beach getaway, and after fully experiencing this coastal town, I now understand why many are heading here nowadays.
