The Malaysian Prime Minister had officially launched the campaign where he hit a traditional drum three times which led into the opening song titled ‘Celebrating 1Malaysia, Truly Asia’ followed by an amazing show of fireworks.

Ella (full name Norzila Binti Haji Aminuddin) is well known in the region as Malaysia’s Rock Queen and has had a successful music career since the 90s.
She was selected as the official singer for the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year 2014 theme song were this time around, a modern upbeat pop style genre was created to appeal to the overall worldwide market. The catchy song can be heard in the video below.

The event was officially launched by the Malaysia Prime Minister and Tourism Minister on the 18th of January which was a Saturday evening.
The launch event saw about 10,000 people including VIPs attending this grand event where hundreds of stalls and booths were set up.
A dazzling display of fireworks was also featured during the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 Theme Song which was sung by Ella.
