New Theme Parks in Malaysia List
In the last few years, several theme parks have already opened around the country and a swift pace, making Malaysia the theme park capital of Southeast Asia.
We came out with a list of Theme Parks in Malaysia, which comes with relevant information and is suitable for those travelling with kids or family travel in and around Malaysia.
Update November 2015 – The all-new 20th Century Fox World Genting Theme Park is set to open in late 2016 or early 2017 end of 2018 or early 2019. Plus, many other new theme parks are being developed which are not on this list, as I will be updating it once I get more information.
Though the buzz is all about the new Genting theme park, many are patiently awaiting the completion and the official news when it will open.
This is currently world news, and even the international media has been eagerly waiting for the park’s official opening here in Malaysia.
Among other theme park news, there have been many speculations on certain other new concept theme parks in Malaysia, which were announced, but many failed to follow through for many reasons.
Some are ambitious projects, trying to put Malaysia on the world map to be the capital of theme parks in Southeast Asia. One of them was about the Tiger Theme Park in Pahang, which never saw the light of day.
If you take a look at the list of planned Malaysia theme parks below, you can see that many of them were originally proposed five to six years ago, but till today, no news about them.
Some of them have even been cancelled without notice. Back then, it was a trend for big corporations to announce that they were opening a theme park.
From time to time, I will come in and edit this list to update what is going on for Malaysia’s theme park news.

We at Malaysia Asia will do our best to keep you updated on any progress and changes, if there are any. You are also free to leave a comment if you hear any news about this.
Tourism has been the main attraction in the country. Therefore, with the current good economy ongoing, we should also see many more unique hotels and resorts being built alongside these new theme parks in Malaysia.
