Jersey Boys is one of the most exciting musical packages Broadway has seen in years. They have won over 54 major awards worldwide, including the Grammy Awards, Tony Awards and Olivier Awards.

This time around, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will welcome one of the most successful multi-award winning musicals in the history of Broadway productions when this musical phenomenon rocks its way into Istana Budaya Auditorium from 15 till 27 April 2014.

Having seen by over 18 million people worldwide, Malaysians and music enthusiasts in the region must experience the electrifying performances of the golden greats that took these guys all the way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Organised by Milestone Production Sdn Bhd, Jersey Boys depicts the true-life story and the remarkable rise to stardom of one of the most successful bands in American pop music history – Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons – how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time.

Apart from featuring the band’s 60’s American pop worldwide hits, Jersey Boys also tells the story of the inspiring journey of The Four Seasons from the mean streets of Newark, New Jersey, to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records globally – all before they were thirty!

They are winners of 54 major awards, including the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and winner of the Best Musical Tony Award on Broadway in London.

The storyline weaves a tale about friendships, hardships, fights and the success resulting from a New Jersey “handshake”.

The show opened on Broadway in 2005, and 3000 performances later are still running to full houses. Jersey Boys is the 15th longest-running show in Broadway history, surpassing the record previously held by Hello, Dolly!

Jersey Boys is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe.

It is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo with music direction, vocal arrangements and incidental music by Ron Melrose.

The production design team is Klara Zieglerova, Scenic Designer; Jess Goldstein, Costume Designer; Howell Binkley, Lighting Designer; Steve Orich, Orchestrator and Michael Clark, Projection Designer.
