KLIA2 Shopping Contest – Destination Curious
Destination Curious is a KLIA2 shopping contest organized and run by Malaysia Airports, and it was officially launched on the 26th June 2014.
The travel contest was also launched by new Malaysia Airports managing director Datuk Badilshah Ghazali and Puan Faizah Khairuddin, Senior General Manager Commercial Services here at the main departure hall of KLIA2.
After the official launching, members of the media, retail outlet owners, sponsors and officials of Malaysia Airports were taken on a walking tour of KLIA2 where participating retail shops were visited in the main hall and also inside the international departure area.

This campaign is targeted to anyone who is traveling in and out of KLIA2 as this is also the largest dedicated low-cost terminal in the world.

The commercial brand identity of KLIA2 is E.L.I.T.E or Experiential, Liberating, Innovative, Thrilling and Ever-Changing, Malaysia Airports strives to evoke the inner explorer in each traveler as it seeks to engage with them with a thematic/destination retail approach. This is something new in Malaysia and possibly in Asia.

KLIA2 currently services budget airlines such as AirAsia, AirAsia X, Malindo Air, Mandala Air, Zest Airway, Tiger Air, Lion Air and Cebu Pacific.
Both lounges have their own food and beverage outlets which are Gloria Jeans at the Sports Lounge and Lindt Chocolate Cafe at the Movie Lounge. Guests also have a unique view of the outdoor section of the terminal.
The commercial space at KLIA2 takes up over 35,200 square meters featuring 225 outlets of bars, island cafes, duplex storefronts, duty-free walk through stores and specialty boutiques.
There are currently 118 retail outlets, 81 Food and Beverage outlets and 26 service outlets while the remaining 20% of space is been taken up by new tenants who will be opening very soon.

A new 70 room air-side hotel called Sama Sama Express is located at level 3 of KLIA2 in the international departures satellite terminal.
Sama Sama Express is part of the group that also owns the Sama Sama Hotel at KLIA, which is the former Pan Pacific Hotel KLIA.

How To Participate in the KLIA2 Shopping Contest?
Travelers need to spend a minimum of RM150 for a chance to visit the Land Down Under. Purchase up to RM750 for 5 chances!

Every year, there is special contest being run by Malaysia Airports for both KLIA and KLIA2, therefore when you are flying in or out, do keep an eye for what contest are being held.
