Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015 Logo
The Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015 Logo or MYFest2015 Logo has been revealed by the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia since September 2015. This year long event next year will be the follow up of Visit Malaysia Year 2014 or VMY2014 as part of the ministry’s effort in promoting Malaysia to the world.
The new MYFest2015 logo, judging from the image and design, looks like it still carries the VMY2014 logo with an addition of the traditional Rebana (drum) and maintaining the official VMY colours of blue, red, yellow and light blue.
For now, there is no official guidelines on that the Year of Festivals 2015 will highlight but according to sources from the Tourism Ministry of Malaysia, the many multi-cultural festivals of Malaysia would be the main highlight of MyFest 2015. Among them, the main three races of Malaysia – Malay, Chinese and Indian festivals will be on top of the list. These include the nationwide celebrations of Hari Raya or Eid al-Firt 2015, Chinese New Year 2015 and Deepavali or Divali 2015. Other festivals like Wesak Day and Christmas Day would also be included in the tourism event calendar of 2015.
Other races from around Malaysia include the Sabahans and Sarawakian which celebrate Kaamatan and Gawai respectively will also be highlighted in MyFest2015. As Malaysia is a multi-cultural country, there are many other smaller races which also celebrate various festivals around the country.
While we wait for the full announcement of Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015 from the Tourism Ministry, many are looking forward to what MyFest2015 will be about. In the meantime, the above is the issued by the ministry for the Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015 Logo.
