Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Video
This video of the new Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA, taken in June 2015, shows the many shops inside the new factory outlet-style shopping malls in Malaysia.
Only 60% of the shops were open when we went there, and many unopened ones had signs stating that they would be opening in July or August 2015.

As our team was headed to KLIA for a trip overseas, we made it a point to go three hours early to visit the new factory outlet here.
This would be a simple review for anyone planning to visit this place, but this is our opinion. Read it after the Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA 三井名牌城 video.

So, how did you like the video? Looks impressive? The management did a great job on the place overall, but here is my opinion: The outlet reminded us of being in another commercial shopping mall.
Nothing here impressed us as one could easily find most brands in any shopping mall around Malaysia. The discounts must be enticing enough to brand this place as a Factory Outlet.

Compared with the Johor Premium Outlets or JPO, this place comes in second as the brands here are far from what JPO offers.
For those who have been to the Johor Factory Outlet, you will know what we mean. As for top brand names, we only saw Ermenegildo Zegna, Bally, Aigner, Mango, and Clarks – That’s all. If you are looking for other popular famous brands, there were no Armani, Burberry, or top-notch brands to be seen here.

The rest were all the usual brands like Adidas, Puma, Nike, New Balance, Asics, Converse, and Rip Curl. Wow, there were many shoe brands here, maybe too many if you ask me. However, there was an Isetan Outlet Store and a Japanese-styled shop called Japan Avenue.

There was Timberland, Guess, Zalora Outlet, Cotton On, Levis, Esprit, Triumph, TopShop, and many other generic names for apparel.
Many shops also sold bags and luggage bags like Samsonite, Bonia, Leather Avenue, Carlo Rino, Sembonia, and other regular names. Again, JPO has a much better range of brands to choose from.

Well, you can be the judge when you go there as this place is still acceptable for tourists or visitors to Malaysia, especially when they are headed to the airport.
The general rule is to go there much earlier, at least 3 to 4 hours before your flight. One of my writers commented that there were many more choices at the shopping mall in KLIA2 called Gateway@KLIA2.
