Movie Animation Park Studios Opening in July 2016
The highly anticipated Movie Animation Park Studios in Ipoh Perak will be opening in July 2016 December 2016 26 June 2017 as confirmed by news reports and also on the MAPS Perak facebook and website news. This has also been the talk of the tourism industry as Ipoh in central Malaysia will soon offer a total of two major theme parks for visitors, the other being the Lost World of Tambun which is a full scale water theme park in the Tambun area of Ipoh.
Currently, the Movie Animation Park Studios or MAPS has not officially set a launching date in July which we suspect would be after the Hari Raya Holidays from the 6-7 July therefore, most likely towards the end of the month. This is also going to be Asia’s First Animation Theme Park, over 40 attractions in 6 themed zones, all here in Ipoh, Perak.

My Dream Carnival
A special event called My Dream Carnival is also being organised by Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) and will be held the weekend of Feb 27 and 28, 2016 from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, at the site surrounding the theme park in Persiaran Meru Raya 3, Ipoh, Perak.
At the event, visitors will have the chance to meet The Mascots from the DreamWorks Adventure Zone, featuring BoBoiBoy, The Smurfs, Megamind and Metroman, Mr Peabody and Sherman. Other attractions include meeting the Stunt Legends, an acrobatic car and motorbike show and there will be contest and giveaways where prizes can be won.

The My Dream Carnival will also coincide with the official ticket launch for Movie Animation Park Studios Perak and ticket promotions will be offered for a limited period. These special promotions include;
MyKad holders from Perak (Perak Pass)
This is specially for Perak citizens, called the Perak Pass. One complimentary ticket with every three tickets purchased at RM180 per pass for adult and RM150 per pass for kids below 11.

Adult: RM 280.00 for annual pass (1 Year)
Child: RM 250.00 for annual pass (1 Year)

In 2015, at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, Movie Animation Park Studios was officially launched by the Minister of Tourism Malaysia stirring a lot of interest for the international market.
