Visit Kelantan Year 2016

Kelantan, if you should know is one of the very interesting places to visit as it offers some of Malaysia’s unique arts, crafts, food, and sightseeing.

Known also as VKY 2016, the theme is ‘Menyusuri Warisan‘, where tourists will get to be enchanted by the cultural heritage of the people in the state.

A tourism target was set where the state was looking at six million tourists for VKY2016. This number was highly achievable due to the fact that from January to September 2015, a total of three million local and international tourists had already visited Kelantan. 

During the event,  there will be 34 programs including cultural performances that are scheduled to be held every month during VKY2016 which is organized by the Kelantan Tourism Centre and the State Museum here.

Many would-be visiting Kota Bharu in Kelantan as this is the capital of the state and from here, visitors will then venture out to other districts and areas to experience what these places have to offer.

One of the must-not-miss things to experience is also the amazing Wayang Kulit in Kelantan as this is one of the most unique cultural performances which is found at selected places.

The Sultan also highlighted the delicious and wide variety of food found throughout the state, which can also be the main packages for the tourism industry.

To date, a number of events have already taken place for Visit Kelantan Year 2016 and hopefully, I will allocate some time to visit this state soon.
