Hi! I just posted this on Trip Advisor and I will do the same here because you should not book with Himalaya Airlines. I just had a very bad experience with them 1 week ago. Since they are new and small, they don't have online booking yet on their website. I was in India in March when I wanted to buy a ticket from Kathmandu to Kuala Lumpur. So I booked tickets via a travel website called MakeMyTrip.com (big Indian company). I received a confirmation email and my E-tickets from them and I thought everything was fine. On April 7, when I showed up at the airport in Kathmandu, I was told at the check in counter of Himalaya Airline that my E-ticket was not valid and that I could not get on my flight. The manager told me it was just not a Himalaya E-ticket, that I was not in their booking system… so I missed my flight. How shocked would you be!? The manager did absolutely nothing to help me, told me it was the online travel website's fault, not theirs… after hours of trying to understand what happened, basically the airline's booking system is crap, and you can only buy from a Nepalese travel agency. So I had to buy another ticket from another airline to get out of Nepal. The worst part is… the manager told me it has happened before. I was not the first customer to book a "wrong" e-ticket online via other website. And they are clearly doing nothing to prevent this. So please, stay away… if you bought tickets already, check them with the travel agency and the airline!

Hi Camille, thanks for the post and I'm really sorry to hear about your ordeal in Kathmandu. I'm also shocked about how they did not help you in any way. Let's hope that Himalaya Airlines sees this and does something about it.
