If there is one place to get a fantastic view, the Sunshine 60 Building Observatory in Tokyo is probably one of the best. Located in the Ikebukuro area of Tokyo, this building, completed in 1978, is 239.7 meters or 786 feet high and was the tallest building in Asia at the time.

Currently, the Sunshine 60 Building is also known as the Sky Circus, which gives an additional observatory experience to visitors here. Apart from getting one of the best views of Tokyo here, you can also participate in other experiences like aerial VR, swing coasters, and Tokyo Bullet Flight in the Sky Bridge area.

There is also the unique Kaleido Scape, where you can experience all four seasons in a special room that displays cutting-edge technology in a mirrored room.

On the 58th and 59th floors, there are restaurants with amazing views for those who want to dine in the sky. Enjoy authentic and modern Japanese cuisine with loved ones or friends while absorbing the night view of Tokyo.

You can take the Tokyo Metro and stop at the Ikebukuro Station, and from there, take a 10-minute walk to the Sunshine City, where the observatory is located.

First-timers planning to visit Tokyo should consider using the Tokyo Metro as the best way to explore Tokyo. Why? They have promotional subway tickets for one, two, and three days, which can save you a lot of money when travelling around Tokyo.

And if you are a Muslim traveller, don’t forget that several Halal Japanese restaurants are all over Tokyo. I visited the Naritaya Halal Ramen Restaurant in Asakusa, just near the famous Senso Ji Temple.
Conclusion
The Sunshine 60 Building Observatory in Tokyo is probably one of the best places to get a perfect view of Tokyo city, plus indulge in other activities up here. Next time you visit Tokyo, consider coming here.
