Travel Bloggers List in Malaysia
This list has been updated in 2020 as much has changed over the last ten years since travel bloggers were highly sourced due to the fact that many could write good information. Since then, I have created a travel bloggers list in Malaysia for those who want to know more.
By the way, I did not make those very technical lists that show the number of visitors, page rank, page speed, and so on. Nowadays, travel bloggers are very niche as most of the old bloggers have switched to social media, changing to become travel influencers or KOLs.
Travel Bloggers List in Malaysia
Firstly, let me inform everyone that many industry people wrongly conceptualise the word ‘Travel Blogger’ in Malaysia. This is because almost everyone started with a food and general blog and eventually branched into travel.
You will have people stating that travel and food go together, and yes, I totally agree, but it all depends on how the person manages it. The travel bloggers list below features Malaysians and non-Malaysians who write about Malaysia or are based in Malaysia.
Some blogs may be inactive or no longer written, but at the last check, they still updated their blogs in 2018. Many travel bloggers are casual bloggers, meaning they have a day job and blog as a hobby.

Currently, most people refer to the term ‘Travel Influencer’ as social media travellers. These are not included here as most travel influencers will only have an Instagram account, which does not count under the category travel blog.
PR Agencies, Advertising Agencies, and Internet Marketers—If you are here to get information or contacts, let me tell you that I made this list simply based on bloggers without complete statistics.
PR agencies should also do their homework on the many bloggers listed here. Pulling names randomly from this list will only result in a successful or lousy campaign, as you would need to know who can reach your audience or even meet your KPI. Again, not everyone on this list has the desired reach and numbers.
You will notice that many Malaysian bloggers cleverly brand themselves as Travel and Food, Food and Travel, or Travel, Lifestyle, and Food blogs, hoping to cover as many genres as possible. A travel blogger’s description merely is to blog about their travel experiences when they travel. Anyway, the list is in alphabetical order below.
Remember, a lot of the travel bloggers in Malaysia listed below are no longer blogging, so, I have not had time to go through one by one to filter them out.

- Most of the above are mainly Malaysia Lifestyle Bloggers covering several genres, including everything. (Yet many claim they are travel bloggers)
- A number of them are mainly food, lifestyle and travel blogs.
- A small portion is travel photobloggers, even though they claim they take more photos than text in their articles.
- Only a few above are pure travel bloggers who only write about travel.
- While some travel bloggers above are active, many casual travel bloggers only blog once or twice a month.
- Most of them work full-time, while a small percentage are students or self-employed.
- Some of the above blogs are in Malay, and some are in dual languages: English and Malay, Chinese, and English.
- You should be surprised that there are no Indian travel bloggers who write in Tamil.
- Most travel bloggers are under 35, while a small handful are 35 to 50.
- A number of them are photographers who include their work in their travel or lifestyle blogs.
