To get here, you simply need to rent a car and self-drive to KKB or even stay at Awana Genting Resort if you would like to participate in the Selangor Bird Race.
For directions, just use Google Maps or Waze to locate Kuala Kubu Bharu or Awana Genting and it will lead you there.
The largest and most successful birding event is also held in Sandakan during the Borneo Bird Festival which attracts thousands of people yearly.
Visitors from as far as the UK, Australia, and Europe make their way here to participate in the very interesting bird race, especially for birding on the island of Borneo.
I use a basic Nikon D5300 DSLR Camera with a Nikkor 300mm Telephoto Lens and an Omicron Binoculars for my birding.
My work has taken me to various interesting places around the region and world where when I get some free time, I will do some basic bird watching.
This event is not to be missed especially if you are a beginner bird watcher or even a seasoned one. This event also attracts some students from around Selangor and Pahang.
