Tanah Lot Sunset in Bali Picture

tanah-lot-bali-sunset-fishing Tanah Lot Sunset in Bali Picture
This stunning photo of a Tanah Lot sunset in Bali is my picture for this week. I took this shot while a Balinese fisherman was standing at the rocks.

At the same time, the waves were coming in hard splashing against the rocks resulting in this beautiful picture.

The location of these rocks is on the right side of the famous Tanah Lot temple, which requires walking a little. This sunset photo was also taken with a 300mm lens on my beat up old Nikon D60 DSLR camera.

For those heading to Tanah Lot, note that this is one of the most popular tourist places in Bali and you can expect thousands of visitors throughout the day, and even more during sunset hour here.

Also, make sure you come in slippers as getting on to the beach, the waves from the high tide start to come in and you are sure to get wet.

Sometimes, waves are quite big here at Tanah Lot, and if you are lucky, you can see some locals surfing these huge waves.

However, for those wanting to capture a sunset photo at Tanah Lot, make sure you are here by 5.00 PM, as the sun starts to set around 6.00 PM.

Cool picture! Do these waves come often or did you wait for it? I remember a friend photographer of mine who spend hours waiting for the right wave to hit in Curacao 🙂

Wow, that is a stunning photo. The waves crashing on the rocks really give it that extra edge. Well done! 🙂

This is one of my favorite temples to see in Bali. What a great shot! I loved the sunset view. My other favorite is at Lake Bratan, Unu Danu only they're ruined it with jet ski and boat rentals and tourism nonsense.

Roy – Apparently in the evening, the waves come in hard here so I simply looked for the right timing.

Inka – Thank you very much. Would you like a larger picture from me?

Christy and Grace – Thanks a bunch!

Lisa – Thank you. The only thing that did not spoil the mood here was the absence of motorised sports.

Thristan and Mom2kiddos – Thanks a lot 🙂

May – If I recall correctly, it was f4.8.

PNR and Yuliang – Thanks again.
