Future Music Festival Asia 2015
Holy EDM! The Future Music Festival Asia 2015 will be going on this year, but this time in Singapore.
The event would be held here in Malaysia but after a terrible tragedy that happened at the FMFA in Malaysia where a number of festival-goers died of an overdose, the government banned all private EDM festivals and concerts in Malaysia.
Future Music Festival Asia
Update 8 March 2015:
Future Music Festival Asia has been cancelled, after its organisers failed to obtain a licence to run the show.
The festival was scheduled to be held this Friday (Mar 13) and Saturday at Changi Exhibition Centre.
This is the biggest exhibition venue in Singapore, so you better start your bookings for tickets, flights, hotels and transport there.

Johor Singapore Causeway |
As for Malaysians traveling to Singapore, you should know that there are various ways of getting there.
Many would opt for carpooling as it would be more fun going in a group and doing some sightseeing along the way.
Yes, making that stop in Melaka for some awesome food! The fastest is of course by flights and for the first-timers traveling to Singapore, here is a rundown;
The reason is that you can catch your bus from either from KL, One Utama or Sunway and the buses are super cool!
- KL-Singapore: Train 13 Express Sinaran – Dep 8.30am Arr 4.30pm Woodlands CIQ.
- KL-Singapore: Train 25 Senandung Sutera – Dep 10.30pm Arr 7.30am Woodlands CIQ
- Trains here depart from KL Sentral Station
- Buy your tickets from KTM Malaysia Trains.
Remember to follow the import law of Singapore. Only one opened pack of cigarettes is allowed, otherwise, you will be fined heavily!
There are two entrances into Singapore, the JB CIQ (Original way) or Woodlands Entrance and also the Tuas Checkpoint (New Way).
However, it is nearer to the JB CIQ to Changi. The Tuas Checkpoint is exactly on the other end of the island republic.

AutoPass Card Singapore |
At the Singapore CIQ, you will need to apply for the AutoPass Card for your car. The Autopass Card is a customized stored-value card issued to foreign-registered vehicles.
It serves as an electronic vehicle entry permit where can be used to pay for:
Walking into Singapore
Hey, I had to do this as there are people in Johor Baharu that will walk across the CIQ complex into Singapore and then use public transport!
Generally, there are those who will drive to JB and park there before taking the causeway bus across into Singapore. I did that once, kinda cool if you ask me.
The best way is to take public transport here as there are many options available. Trains to the airport then taxi there or a taxi straight there. For those driving, use the map below or punch in your GPS or Waze.
I need not go into detail about this as there are thousands of hotels all over Singapore. However, the trick is to get one near an MRT station for convenience.
For the budget-conscious, you should look at budget hotels or guesthouses out of the main city areas, alternatively, you can also stay in JB and cross over.
If you do plan to stay in Johor, you can explore by checking out the many things to do in Johor.
Conclusion
Those heading for the FMFA 2015, I hope you have a great time there and be safe as always! Please keep away from the drugs as you know the Singapore Law is doubly strict there.
I would really love to attend this but due to a clashing date event, I am going to miss the Future Music Festival Asia 2015.
