Jazz lovers in the south should be smiling as this inaugural jazz event here promises a show to remember with world-class acts like Sadao Watanabe performing.

The JB Jazz Fest 2015 is also the first of five festivals included under the 12th JB Arts Festival 2015, which is featured in the calendar for Malaysia Tourism’s MyFest 2015 as an official event in the state of Johor.

Conclusion
While it is Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015, this event fits in perfectly and the month does not clash with other Jazz Festivals in Malaysia making it convenient for jazz lovers to travel around Malaysia throughout the year.
The country is now picking up on various music festivals and Jazz is one of the fast-growing genres here.
The next big jazz festival is also the Borneo Jazz Festival which takes place from 8 to 9 May in Miri, Sarawak followed by the Rainforest World Music Festival 2015 in August.
There is also the Penang Island Jazz Festival 2015 which is slated for the end of the year. However, it will be quite interesting to attend this in Johor Bahru as it is the first time that the state is hosting the JB Jazz Fest 2015.
