Marriott Hotel Empire City Petaling Jaya
A brand new Marriott Hotel Empire City in Petaling Jaya is set to change the landscape of this up and coming area near Damansara Perdana where this international five-star property is set to be completed somewhere in the third or fourth quarter of 2016 and most likely open by the end of the year.
Update: Unfortunately something went wrong and this project has been hanging since this article was published. No further news is available.
Marriott Hotel Empire City Petaling Jaya Review
Empire City Damansara spans 30 acres and will be built in phases with completion targeted for the end of 2016.
The components of the development include over 2.5 million square feet of retail space; 1.2 million square feet of office space, and the world-class Marriott Hotel, which is a 45-storey building located on a 4-acre site and it will be one of the tallest buildings in the area.

Marriott Hotel Empire City is also going to be called the Marriott Tower at Empire City and is also a half hotel and half Service Office Suite (S.O.S).
The serviced suites are also high-end luxury suites which consist of studio and one to three-room suites.
- Marriott Empire City will occupy the 3rd to the 20th floor
- Marriott Services Office Suites will occupy 21st to 45th floor

Another hotel called Autograph Boutique Collection Hotel is also set to open and is an independent hotel brand by the Marriott which will also be located here in Empire City Damansara.
The much talked about new lifestyle concept Empire City Mall will also be opened towards the end of 2016.
Previously in January 2015, Empire City hosted the Party of the Century with well known international and local superstars, singers and artist attending this event. This was part of the branding awareness of the massive project.

Conclusion
News reports state that the new Empire City Mall is scheduled to open by September 2016 but there have been delays over the last couple of years, therefore, there has been no new announcement of when the actual opening will be.
But judging from the construction, it should be ready by the end of 2016 alongside with the Marriott hotel Empire City Petaling Jaya.
